LOS ANGELES, March 14 (UPI) -- James Harden scored 24 points Friday and No. 23 Arizona State let a 21-point lead get away before downing No. 10 Washington 75-67 in the Pac-10 semifinals.

USC then completed a surprising night of action by knocking out UCLA 65-55, leaving the tournament's top two seeds on the sidelines heading into Saturday's championship game.

The Sun Devils (24-8) will be making their first appearance in the Pac-10 final.

Both Washington and UCLA defeated their Friday opponents twice during the regular season.

Washington appeared ready to make it three in a row against Arizona State after coming back from a huge deficit in the first half to take a two-point lead with 6:15 to play.

Arizona State, however, outscored the Huskies the rest of the way 17-5.

Jeff Pendergraph added 18 points for the Sun Devils and Derek Glasser had 16.

Washington, which is certain to receive an at-large NCAA tourney berth with its 25-8 record, was led by Jon Brockman with 13 points.

In the second semifinal, USC held UCLA to only two points for a span of 6:06 of the second half. That allowed the Trojans to build an 11-point lead with 7:25 remaining and USC held on behind 21 points from DeMar DeRozan.

Josh Shipp led the Bruins with 19.
