ST. LOUIS, March 14 (UPI) -- Pavel Datsyuk scored twice in a four-goal second period Saturday, pacing the Detroit Red Wings' 5-2 victory against the St. Louis Blues.

His 26th goal this season created a 1-1 tie at 4:40 of the period and his 27th upped the lead to 4-2 by the time the period ended.

Tomas Kopecky (6), Brett Lebda (6) (unassisted) and Henrik Zetterberg 28 (empty net) also scored once each. Goalie Chris Osgood was credited with 30 saves on 32 shots for the Red Wings, who lead the Western Conference with 99 points after the fourth win in their last six games.

St. Louis got goals from T.J. Oshie in the first and Jeff Woywitka in the second.

Starting goaltender Chris Mason was beaten four times on 23 shots before backup Ben Bishop replaced him in the third.

Bishop turned aside the three shots he faced for the Blues, who had won their previous two outings against Dallas and San Jose.
