COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 12 (UPI) -- Kristian Huselius produced the only score of the shootout Wednesday and Columbus, despite blowing a three-goal lead, came away with a 4-3 win over Pittsburgh.
The Penguins had a seven-game winning streak come to an end.
Pittsburgh faced a 3-0 deficit near the midway point of the third period, but scored three times in the span of 3:25 to force overtime.
Huselius then came through in the third round of the shootout to slow down Pittsburgh's late-season run.
After playing for the Stanley Cup last season, Pittsburgh struggled throughout much of this campaign before getting hot after the all-star break.
Sergei Gonchar, Pascal Dupuis and Maxime Talbot scored the third-period goals for the Penguins.
Steve Mason made 38 saves to get the win.
Columbus has won three straight and four of its last five.
Huselius, Jason Williams and Antoine Vermette scored in regulation for Columbus and Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 24 shots in the loss.
