TORONTO, March 10 (UPI) -- Mikhail Grabovski scored in overtime Tuesday, handing the Toronto Maple Leafs a 3-2 victory over the New York Islanders.

Lee Stempniak and Alexei Ponikarovsky scored in regulation for the Maple Leafs, who have won six of their last nine games. Martin Gerber made 28 saves for the win.

Kyle Okposo and Blake Comeau scored within 45 seconds of each other in the first period for the Islanders, who had won four of five coming going into the game. Joey MacDonald allowed three goals on 28 shots for the loss.

In the opening minute of overtime, Anton Stralman tried a shot that MacDonald saved. But that brought the goalie too far out of the net, and Grabovsk knocked in the rebound.
