NHL: Columbus 2, Boston 0

COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 10 (UPI) -- Steve Mason made 35 saves for his NHL-leading ninth shutout Tuesday, a 2-0 Columbus Blue Jackets win over the Boston Bruins.

Raffi Torres and Rick Nash scored for the Blue Jackets, who have won three of their last four games.

Tim Thomas stopped 32-of-33 shots in a losing effort for the Bruins, who have lost five of six.

Boston is still remain six points ahead of New Jersey for the Eastern Conference lead.
