NEW YORK, March 9 (UPI) -- The National Basketball Association Monday gave its weekly tip of the hat to the Miami's Dwayne Wade and Utah's Deron Williams.
Wade had an NBA-best 35.8-point scoring average and led the Eastern Conference in assists and steals while helping the Heat to a 2-2 record for the week ending March 8. It is his third weekly award this season.
Williams took the Western Conference award by averaging 25.3 points and 11.3 assists in three Jazz victories during the week.
Others considered for the awards were Charlotte's Raymond Felton, Cleveland's LeBron James and Mo Williams, Dallas's Dirk Nowitzki, Houston's Yao Ming, Indiana's Jarrett Jack, the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant, New Jersey's Devin Harris and San Antonio's Tony Parker.
