EAST LANSING, Mich., March 8 (UPI) -- Kalin Lucas scored a game-high 21 points Sunday, leading eighth-ranked Michigan State to a 62-51 Big Ten Conference win over 20th-ranked Purdue.

MSU won after facing a 31-29 halftime deficit, but Lucas's jumper put Michigan State up by 47-35 with 6:10 left.

Later, after Purdue's Nemanja Calasan sank a 3-pointer, an 11-3 run gave MSU a 60-46 advantage with just 1:04 left, and the Spartans were home free.

Goran Suton scored 11 with 10 rebounds. Raymar Morgan scored seven with seven rebounds, while Chris Allen also scored seven for the Spartans (25-5, 15-3), who already had clinched the conference title and will be the top seed at next week's Big Ten Tournament at Indianapolis.

E'Twaun Moore and JaJuan Johnson led Purdue with 12 points apiece.

Robbie Hummel added eight points and eight rebounds for the Boilermakers (22-9, 11-7), who ended the regular season with three losses in four contests.
