BUENOS AIRES, March 8 (UPI) -- Argentina won its Davis Cup doubles match Saturday to forge an insurmountable 3-0 lead against Netherlands in Buenos Aires.
The 2008 runner-up marched on when Lucas Arnold Ker and Martin Vassallo Arguello downed Jesse Huta Galung and Rogier Wassen 6-4, 7-5, 6-3.
If Sunday's scheduled reverse singles matches are played, their outcomes will have no bearing on the winner of the best-of-five first-round matchup on the red clay at Parque Roca.
The Argentines, who are playing without stars Juan Martin Del Potro and David Nalbandian, face either the Czech Republic or France in July's quarterfinals.
The Czechs have a 2-1 lead.
