Tommie Harris' wife dies

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 6 (UPI) -- Gerald Wallace helped Charlotte to a quick start Friday night and the Bobcats held on to win their fifth straight game, a 98-91 victory over Atlanta.
The Bobcats owned a 15-point advantage after one period and went on to establish their longest winning streak since March 2008. Wallace scored 21 points and both Emeka Okafor and Raymond Felton had 17.
Atlanta was led by 15 points from Al Horford. The Hawks have lost three of their last four and six out of eight.
Charlotte took a 10-point lead into the final quarter, but Atlanta opened the period with a 10-2 run.
The Bobcats, however, came up with a 10-4 charge that gave them a 92-84 lead with 2 minutes remaining.
Charlotte won the season series 3-1.
