SINGAPORE, March 6 (UPI) -- Paula Creamer and Jane Park are tied for the lead halfway through the HSBC Champions Tournament, an LPGA Tour stop in Singapore.
Creamer and Park, who were tied for first after the first round, each shot 1-under-par 71 Friday and are at 6-under 138 after 36 holes. Kim Mi-hyun and Katherine Hull are tied for third at 5-under while Yoo Son-young and Ai Miyazato are at 4-under 140.
Angela Park, who shared the first-round lead, shot 4-over 76 Friday and dropped into a tie for 20th place at 1-under for the tournament.
Creamer had birdies at Nos. 3 and 9 with short putts but had bogeys at the 11th and 14th holes. She came back with a birdie at 16 to get back under par for the day but nearly sent an approach shot into the water at 18 before she was able to save par.
Park was more steady, carding two birdies, 15 pars and a bogey on her second round. She had a birdie at No. 5 for the second consecutive day. After six straight pars she had a bogey 5 at the 12th hole but moved back into a share of the lead with a birdie at 16 after her approach shot stopped inches from the hole.
