Kris Draper scored the game-winner late in the second period and Detroit also got goals from Johan Franzen and Valtgteri Filppula.

In Conklin's most recent outing, Detroit suffered an 8-0 bashing at the hands of Nashville. It was the Red Wings' worst shutout loss in 27 years. Conklin allowed four goals on just nine shots before being removed from that contest.

Chris Osgood was in goal for Detroit when the Red Wings defeated St. Louis on Tuesday.

Colorado lost its sixth straight game. Andrew Raycroft made 27 saves.
