COL BKB: Vanderbilt 75, LSU 67

BATON ROUGE, La., March 4 (UPI) -- A.J. Ogilvy scored 33 points Wednesday and Vanderbilt fought off a comeback bid to stun No. 11 LSU 75-67.

The Tigers, having already clinched the regular-season Southeastern Conference title, rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to tie it at 60-60. The Commodores, however, pulled away down the stretch thanks chiefly to a three-pointer and two free throws in the final 37 seconds by Brad Tinsley.

Jermaine Beal added 17 points for Vanderbilt (18-11, 7-8 SEC), which shot 51 percent from the field on the Tigers' home court.

LSU, which had a 10-game winning streak snapped, was paced by 18 points from Marcus Thornton. The Tigers (25-5, 13-2) close out their regular season Saturday against Auburn.
