NBA: New Jersey 99, Milwaukee 95

MILWAUKEE, March 3 (UPI) -- Jarvis Hayes scored a 3-pointer with 18.5 seconds left Tuesday to enable the New Jersey Nets to post a 99-95 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Brook Lopez had 24 points and 12 rebounds and hit a couple of free throws in the final seconds for the Nets, who are now just a half-game behind the Bucks for the final seed in the Eastern Conference playoff.

Vince Carter and Devin Harris scored 15 and 14 points, respectively, for New Jersey.

Charlie Villanueva had 24 points and 15 rebounds, Richard Jefferson 20 points, and Ramon Sessions 19 points and eight rebounds for Milwaukee, which has lost five of seven.
