MILWAUKEE, March 3 (UPI) -- Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Michael Redd had successful knee surgery Tuesday to repair a season-ending injury he suffered Jan. 24.
After Redd was hurt, an MRI exam revealed a torn anterior cruciate ligament and a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

Redd will immediately begin a rehabilitation course of about six months. The team announced he should be ready for the start of training camp prior to the 2009-10 season.
Redd was averaging 21.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 33 games this season.
