DELRAY BEACH, Fla., March 1 (UPI) -- American Mardy Fish battled to a straight-set win over Evgeny Korolev Sunday in the title match of the Delray Beach (Fla.) International Tennis Championships.

Fish, the event's top-seed, won 7-5, 6-3 in a match interrupted by rain. Korolev, of Russia, was unseeded.

The title was Fish's first since he won an event in Houston in 2006, and third of his ATP career.

Fish was the first top-seed in the 17-year history of the Delray Beach tournament to win the title.
