OTTAWA, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Pavel Kubina's second goal Saturday just 33 seconds into overtime gave the Toronto Maple Leafs a 4-3 win over the Ottawa Senators.

Extra time was needed after Kubina's 11th goal this season (power play) created a 3-3 tie at 14:48 of the third. His game-winner, his 12th, gave him his first two-goal game this season.

Toronto's Jamal Mayers and Tim Stapleton both scored in the first period.

Curtis Joseph was credited with 29 saves on 32 shots for the Maple Leafs, who have won a season-high four straight contests.

Ottawa got goals from Ryan Shannon and Jarkko Ruutu in the second and Daniel Alfredsson in the third.

Brian Elliott was beaten four times on 38 shots for the Senators, who fell to 1-2 in their season-long eight-game homestand.
