NEW YORK, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Andre Miller paced Philadelphia to a quick start Friday and the 76ers held on to defeat New York 108-103.

Philadelphia swept the season series from the Knicks for the first time in 23 years.

Miller scored 25 points and Thaddeus Young had 23 for the 76ers, who finished off a 2-2 road trip. The 76ers built a 20-point lead early in the second period and although the Knicks clawed back to within two in the opening stages of the fourth quarter, they could never draw even.

Larry Hughes had a season-high 25 points for New York and Al Harrington had 23.

Miller's two free throws with 41 seconds remaining gave the 76ers a six-point lead and Young blocked a layup attempt by Chris Duhon on the Knicks' next possession to end New York's comeback attempt.
