NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Tyson Chandler's tip-in with 3.3 seconds left Friday allowed the New Orleans Hornets to survive a late-game collapse and defeat Milwaukee 95-94.

The Hornets had a 17-point lead with four minutes to play and almost let the game get away.

David West had 28 points and 12 rebounds for the Hornets, winners of three in a row. Chris Paul handed out 20 assists, a season high.

Richard Jefferson had 22 for Milwaukee and Charlie Bell scored 21. The Bucks have lost four out of five.

New Orleans owned an 89-72 lead before Milwaukee went on a 22-4 run, fueled by five consecutive 3-point shots. Bell's 3-pointer with 10.5 seconds to play gave the Bucks a 94-93 lead.

West was called on to take the potential winning shot for New Orleans, but he missed a jumper in the lane. Chandler was there, however, to tap the ball off the backboard and through the basket.

A desperation heave by Milwaukee's Luke Ridnour from mid-court bounced off the board at the buzzer.

New Orleans has won eight in a row over the Bucks.
