SACRAMENTO, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Gerald Wallace and Boris Diaw helped stake Charlotte to a huge lead Wednesday and the Bobcats held on down the stretch to defeat Sacramento 98-91.

Charlotte had an 18-point cushion going into the fourth period and the advantage grew to 21 early in the quarter.

Sacramento, however, ran off 13 straight points before Charlotte slowed down the comeback bid.

Wallace scored 27 points, Diaw had 23 and they teamed to hit 19 of 30 shots from the field. The Bobcats broke a three-game losing streak.

Sacramento, which has the least number of wins in the NBA this year (12), was led by Kevin Martin with 27 points. The Kings have lost nine out of 10.

It was only the second time in the last 21 games that the Kings had held an opponent under 100 points.
