NHL: Los Angeles 2, Minnesota 1 (SO)

ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Drew Doughty scored the game-winner in an overtime shootout Tuesday, providing the Los Angeles Kings a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild.

LA's Jack Johnson, had the Kings' lone regulation goal. Winning goalie Jonathan Quick had 23 saves.

Before Tuesday, the Kings had lost five of six games.

Antti Miettinen scored for Minnesota and Niklas Backstrom took the loss despite stopping 24-of-25 shots.
