NHL: Washington 5, Pittsburgh 2

WASHINGTON, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Alex Ovechkin, Alexander Semin, Sergei Fedorov and Shaone Morirsonn each had a goal and assist for Washington Sunday in a 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Semin's goal with 6:58 left in the first period put the Caps ahead 2-1 and they stayed in front the rest of the way.

The other Washington goal was by Brooks Laich. Morrisonn and Laich scored within a 25-second span of the second period, breaking open a close game. The third period was scoreless.

Maxime Talbot and Sergei Gonchar scored for the Penguins.

Jose Theodore made 31 saves for Washington. Pittsburgh's Marc-Andre Fleury allowed all the Capitols' goals and totaled 15 saves before he was replaced by Mathieu Garon, who blocked 14 shots.
