CHICAGO, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Peter Olvecky fired in the game-winning goal and the Minnesota Wild edged the Chicago Blackhawks 2-1 Sunday behind a 44-save effort by goalie Josh Harding.

Chicago's Jonathan Toews and Minnesota's Dan Fritsche scored in the second period and Olvecky broke the 1-1 tie with a shot from the left circle early in the third. It was his first goal in the NHL.

The Blackhawks outshot the Wild 18-5 in a scoreless first period.

Chicago goalie Cristobal Huet blocked 22 shots.
