INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- T.J. Ford scored nine points in the fourth period Sunday to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 98-91 victory against the Chicago Bulls.
Ford's 3-pointer broke an 84-84 tie and put Indiana ahead for good with 3:56 left. He scored 19 with eight rebounds and five assists.
Troy Murphy led the winners with 27 points and 14 rebounds in one of his best games this season.
Jarrett Jack and Marquis Daniels scored 16 points each for the Pacers, who again played without leading scorer Danny Granger (foot injury).
The Pacers overcame a 40 percent shooting effort to win for the third time in their last four contests.
Ben Gordon shot 12-of-20 from the field and led Chicago with 28 points. Tyrus Thomas scored 16 with five rebounds.
Luol Deng scored 13 with eight rebounds, while newly acquired John Salmons added 12 points, three rebounds and three assists for the Bulls, who had won three of four.
