
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Olli Jokinen's hat trick Saturday keyed the Phoenix Coyotes' 6-3 win over the Los Angeles Kings.
Jokinen scored twice in a three-goal second period and then scored into an empty net (unassisted) at 17:56 of the third. The hat trick gave him 500 NHL career points.
David Hale, Viktor Tikhonov and Mikkel Boedker scored once each.
Martin Hanzal had two assists, and Ilya Bryzgalov surrendered three goals on 33 shots for the Coyotes, who have recorded back-to-back victories for the first time in over a month.
In their previous outing, they stopped a three-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over Atlanta Thursday.
LA got one goal each from Alexander Frolov, Dustin Brown (unassisted), and Derek Armstrong (power play). Jon Quick was beaten five times on 28 shots for the Kings, who have lost three of four.
On the power play, Phoenix went 0-for-2, and Los Angeles went 1-for-4.
