EAST NAPLES, Fla., Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Gene Jones turned in his second straight 2-under 70 Saturday to take the second-round lead of the seniors ACE Group Classic.

Jones, finishing 36 holes at 4-under 140, had a one-shot at the TPC at Treviso Bay.

Overnight co-leader Don Pooley shares second place with two others at 141. The 2002 U.S. Senior Open champion held a one-shot lead prior to taking a double bogey on Saturday's final hole. That double-bogey left Pooley (73) in a tie for second with James Mason (67) and 2006 winner Loren Roberts (71).

Jones had his first share of a second-round lead on the Champions Tour. If he holds on Sunday, he would take his first victory on the elder circuit.

Reigning Player of the Year Bernhard Langer (72), Brad Bryant (69), Lonnie Nielsen (71), Mike McCullough (71), Dan Forsman (72) and Wayne Levi (73) are tied in fifth place at 2-under 142.
