COL BKB: Texas 73, Oklahoma 68

AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- A.J. Abrams, who wound up with 23 points, scored 16 straight down the stretch Saturday night to give Texas a 73-68 win over second-ranked Oklahoma.

Abrams made five 3-pointers, four in the final eight minutes.

Damion James had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Dogus Balbay had 10 points, nine assists and eight rebounds for Texas (18-8, 7-5 Big 12), which had lost four of its six previous games.

Texas has won six straight home games against top-five teams.

Oklahoma freshman Willie Warren hit six 3-pointers and totaled 27 points. Oklahoma's star sophomore Blake Griffin was struck over the bridge of his nose by Texas' Dexter Pittman with about 7 1/2 minutes left in the first half, and it was decided at halftime he would not return due to a suspected concussion.

Tony Crocker had 14 points with seven rebounds and Taylor Griffin, Blake's brother, had nine points and eight rebounds for the Sooners (25-2, 11-1), who had a 13-game winning streak come to an end.
