HOUSTON, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Houston Rockets guard Tracy McGrady suffered a microfracture on his left knee and may miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery.

McGrady, a seven-time all-star and two-time NBA scoring champion, has missed 19 games this season after arthroscopic surgery on the knee in May 2008.

A recent magnetic resonance imaging test indicated no change in the knee but ESPN said McGrady's appearance in Houston's 114-88 victory Tuesday over New Jersey may be his last this season.

The Rockets have a 33-21 record, good enough for second place in the Southwest Division, three games back of San Antonio. McGrady is averaging 15.6 points per game this season.
