NHL: San Jose 4, Edmonton 2

SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Team captain Patrick Marleau scored two of San Jose's three second-period goals Tuesday, sparking the Sharks to a 4-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

Joe Pavelski and Joe Thornton scored the Sharks' other goals. Evgeni Nabokov made 24 saves as San Jose won for only the second time in eight games yet still leads the Western Conference with 85 points.

Dwayne Roloson notched 27 saves in the loss. Zack Stortini and Erik Cole scored for Edmonton, which had a three-game win streak snapped.
