Tommie Harris' wife dies

DENVER, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Wojtek Wolski chased his own rebound and snapped a shot past Alex Auld 1:20 into overtime Tuesday, handing Colorado a 3-2 win over Ottawa.
Auld had stopped Wolski's initial shot, a slap shot from just inside the blue line. But Wolski got the puck back at the left circle and his shot slipped past Auld high inside the left post for the winner.
Ian Laperriere and Ryan Smyth got the other goals for the Avalanche, who have won two straight. Andrew Raycroft made 20 saves for his 11th win of the season.
Ryan Shannon notched both goals for the Senators. Auld made 24 stops as Ottawa lost for the first time in six games.
