SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- The Utah Jazz, inspired by the return of Andrei Kirilenko who scored 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting in 17 1/2 minutes, knocked off Memphis 117-99 Tuesday.
Besides Kirilenko, who had missed 11 games following ankle surgery, the Jazz got 24 points from C.J. Miles, 20 from Deron Williams, 19 from Ronnie Brewer and 18 from Paul Millsap. Williams also had 15 assists and Millsap grabbed 18 rebounds.
The victory pushed Utah to 22-6 at home this season.
The Grizzlies were led by Rudy Gay and O.J. Mayo, who each totaled 18 points. Darko Milicic had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Memphis held the Jazz in check through the first half, pulling into a 56-56 tie at halftime. But a 9-0 run in the third quarter gave the Jazz an 86-76 edge and they led 88-80 going into the final period.
The Grizzlies pulled back within 90-86 but an 11-0 Utah spurt during which Kirilenko hit two baskets decided the outcome.
