Tommie Harris' wife dies

MEMPHIS, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Shawn Taggart paced all five starters in double figures with 19 points Wednesday and sixth-ranked Memphis crushed SMU 90-47.
The Mustangs scored only 14 points in the second half.
Memphis has won 17 straight games while heading toward another Conference-USA title. The Tigers (23-3, 11-0 Conf. USA) have a three-game lead with five games to play. They ran their overall winning streak against conference opponents to 53 games.
Doneal Mack made 4-of-8 shots from 3-point range and scored 15 points for Memphis. Robert Dozier added 14.
SMU (7-17, 1-10) was led by Paul McCoy with 17 points.
Memphis put together a 15-2 run late in the first half and took a 52-33 lead at intermission.
