LOS ANGELES, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Erik Christensen scored in the fourth round of a shootout Monday night and the Atlanta Thrashers withstood a furious third-period rally to beat Los Angeles 7-6.

Alexander Frolov had a goal and three assists, and Denis Gauthier, Jack Johnson and Jarret Stoll scored for the Kings.

Jonathan Quick was pulled after allowing three goals in the first period. Erik Ersberg finished with 17 saves for LA, which has lost all three games on its current homestand -- dropping the last two in shootouts.
