COL BKB: Marquette 79, Seton Hall 67

MILWAUKEE, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Wesley Matthews scored 24 points Tuesday in 11th-ranked Marquette's 79-67 victory over Seton Hall.

The Golden Eagles (22-4, 11-2 Big East), who improved to 16-0 at home this season, also got 14 points from Lazar Hayward and 13 each from Dominic James and Jerel McNeal.

Marquette made just 3-for-17 from 3-point range but made 24 of 31 free throw tries.

Jeremy Hazell led Seton Hall (14-11, 5-8) with 23 points. Jordan Theodore added 15.
