NHL: Dallas 3, Columbus 2 (SO)

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- James Neal scored the winning goal in the shootout Monday night to give the Dallas Stars a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Neal, the second shooter for Dallas, put a shot into the left corner of the net. Rick Nash was the last chance for Columbus, but Marty Turco made a stick save on his wrist shot for the win.

Loui Eriksson had a goal and an assist and Brad Richards scored the other goal for the Stars, who have won four of six and moved into fifth place in the Western Conference. Turco finished the game with 41 saves and stopped all three attempts in the shootout.

R.J. Umberger scored both goals and Steve Mason made 20 saves in the loss for the Blue Jackets, who had a four-game win streak going into Monday's game.
