CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Sylven Landesburg scored six of his 23 points in overtime Sunday, boosting Virginia to an 85-81 upset of 11th-ranked Clemson.

The improbable victory ended Virginia's eight-game losing streak.

The freshman's leadership helped Virginia overcome Clemson's 12-0 second-half start following a 33-25 halftime advantage.

Landesburg also sank a driving layup with 13 seconds left in regulation to create a 74-74 tie.

Mike Scott scored 18 with 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Sammy Zeglinski scored 15 on 6-of-6 shooting (3-of-3 3-pointers) for the Cavaliers (8-13, 2-8 ACC).

It was their first ACC victory since beating Georgia Tech 88-84 on Dec. 28.

Terrence Oglesby sank five 3-pointers and led Clemson with 17 points.

Trevor Booker scored 16 with seven rebounds, while K.C. Rivers added 15 points and six rebounds for the Tigers (20-4, 6-4), whose four-game winning streak ended.

Virginia retired Sean Singletary's No. 44 jersey at halftime. The former four-year starter is an NBA rookie with the Charlotte Bobcats.
