OAHU, Hawaii, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Angela Stanford made three straight back-nine birdies Saturday to move past Michelle Wie and win the LPGA SBS Open in Oahu, Hawaii.

Stanford posted a third-round 2-under 70 that gave her a three-stroke win over the 19-year-old Wie. Stanford, who won for the third time in her last seven starts, completed the women's season-opener at 10-under 206.

"With the way the wind was blowing, anything could happen," said Stanford, who earned $180,000 for the win. "I just had to go one shot at a time."

Wie finished second at 7-under 209 after closing with a 1-over 73.

Na Yeon Choi had a 69 to share third place with Angela Park (75) at 4-under 212.
