NHL: New Jersey 1, Boston 0

NEWARK, N.J., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Scott Clemmensen recorded his second shutout in as many starts Friday night, lifting the New Jersey Devils to a 1-0 victory over Boston.

Clemmensen -- who made 27 saves in a 3-0 win over the New York Rangers Monday -- stopped 31 shots Friday in a meeting of division leaders.

New Jersey's goal came from Bryce Salvador midway through the second period, giving the Devils their third straight win.

Boston, which has dropped three in a row for the first time since October, got 17 saves from Tim Thomas.

Despite the brief losing streak, the Bruins still own the best record in the NHL with 85 points.

New Jersey has won six of its last eight meetings with the Bruins.
