LOS ANGELES, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Miikka Kiprusoff made 36 saves Thursday night to earn his third shutout of the season and bring the Calgary Flames a 2-0 victory over Los Angeles.

Kiprusoff has 30 shutouts in his eight NHL seasons, which have been split between Calgary and San Jose.

Jonathan Quick stopped 18-of-19 shots, but it was not enough to prevent the Kings from losing for the first time in five games.

Michael Cammalleri scored his 29th goal of the season 8:58 into the first period, a score that came with the Kings' Patrick O'Sullivan in the penalty box for tripping.

It remained a 1-0 game until Rene Bourque scored into an empty net with 36 seconds to play.

Calgary expanded its lead in the Northwest Division to nine points over Vancouver.
