SEATTLE, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- A 28-point performance by Justin Dentmon Thursday allowed No. 24 Washington to pull away for a 78-60 victory over Oregon State.

The Huskies took the lead in the Pacific-10 Conference race by a half game over UCLA and by a full game over Arizona State.

Washington owned only a one-point lead at the break, but built a 53-42 advantage by the midway point of the second period, and was not threatened down the stretch.

Dentmon made 8-of-11 shots from the field and 7-of-10 from the foul line to pace the Huskies (18-6, 9-3 Pac-10). Quincy Pondexter was the only other Washington player in double figures with 11.

Oregon State (10-13, 4-8) was led by Calvin Haynes with 15 points.
