COL BKB: Notre Dame 90, Louisville 57

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Feb. 12 (UPI) -- A season-high 32 points from Luke Harangody Thursday night sent Notre Dame coasting to a stunningly easy 90-57 blasting of seventh-ranked Louisville.

It was the most one-sided loss for Rick Pitino since he became Louisville's coach in 2001.

Notre Dame had lost seven games in a row overall before dominating against the Cardinals, who as a team made only nine more field goals than Harangody did.

The Fighting Irish star hit 14-of-21 shots from the field to bring Notre Dame its first victory since Jan. 10. Kyle McAlarney added 21 and Ryan Ayers had 19 for the Irish (13-10, 4-7 Big East).

Notre Dame outrebounded Louisville 48-28 while handing the Cardinals their second loss in three games. That stretch follows what had been a nine-game Louisville winning streak.

Earl Clark had 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead Louisville (18-5, 9-2).

The Cardinals made just one of their first 15 field goal attempts and fell behind 37-19 at halftime.
