NBA: Charlotte 101, Washington 89

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- D.J. Augustin led a hot shooting performance and scored 24 points Wednesday, carrying Charlotte to a 101-89 victory over Washington.

The Bobcats closed the game with an 8-2 run and handed the Wizards their sixth straight road loss. Charlotte has won two in a row on the heels of a five-game skid.

Emeka Okafor scored 16 points with 13 rebounds for the Bobcats, who made half of their 74 field goal attempts.

Vladimir Radmanovic was 5-of-10 from 3-point range while scoring 21 points.

Washington was led by 26 points from Caron Butler and 23 from Antawn Jamison.

Charlotte put together a 12-0 run in the third quarter and took a 74-59 advantage into the final period.
