AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Joe Johnson scored the last two of his 27 points from the foul line with 8 seconds remaining Wednesday, clinching Atlanta's 99-95 win over Detroit.
The Hawks maintained a narrow lead throughout the fourth quarter to hand the Pistons their third consecutive loss.
Ronald Murray added 23 points, helping the Hawks win for the fourth time in five games.
Detroit was led by 28 points from Allen Iverson and 14 from Richard Hamilton.
Iverson brought the Pistons within two on a layup with 10 seconds to play, after which Johnson was sent to the line. He completed a perfect performance from the free throw line by making his fifth and sixth shots of the game to wrap up the victory.
Detroit was only 12-of-19 from the line.
