Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Fourth-seeded Radek Stepanek was a first-round winner Monday at the SAP Open tennis tournament in San Jose, Calif.
Stepanek beat Dominik Meffert 5-7, 6-3, 6-1.
In other opening-round action, Christophe Rochus upset seventh-seeded Igor Kunitsyn 6-2, 7-6 (9-7); Tommy Haas eliminated Lars Poerschke 6-1, 7-6 (10-8); Taylor Dent beat Bobby Reynolds 6-3, 6-4; and Florent Serra dropped Jarkko Nieminen 7-5, 6-7 (1-7), 6-4.
Defending champion Andy Roddick did not see action Monday.
The winner of the tournament will collect $93,900.
