PITTSBURGH, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Sam Young had 20 points and seven rebounds Monday to lead the fourth-ranked Pittsburgh Panthers to a 70-59 victory over West Virginia.
Levance Fields added 13 points and seven assists for the Panthers (22-2, 9-2 Big East), who have won four in a row and 17 straight at home. Pittsburgh led by only five points at halftime, but made 16-of-26 shots from the field in the final 20 minutes.
West Virginia's top two scorers fouled out. Alex Ruoff had 17 points for the Mountaineers, but fouled out with 7:18 remaining in the game. Da'Sean Butler, West Virginia's second-leading scorer this season, was limited to four points on 2-of-12 shooting and fouled out with 4:43 left in the game.
Devin Ebanks had 16 points for West Virginia (16-8, 5-6), which has lost three of its last four games.
