NHL: Minnesota 3, Edmonton 2 (SO)

ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Mikko Koivu's goal in the fourth round of a shootout Sunday gave the Minnesota Wild a 3-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

Koivu, who also had an assist in the third period, beat Oilers goalie Dwayne Roloson with a wrist shot.

Eric Belanger and Antti Miettinen scored in regulation for Minnesota, which won for the third time in four games.

Sheldon Souray and Sam Gagner got Edmonton's goals. The Oilers have lost five of seven.

Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom finished with 28 saves. Roloson had 37.
