EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Devin Harris had 28 points and five assists Saturday night when the New Jersey Nets routed Denver 114-70, their second-largest margin of victory ever.
The Nets led 24-19 after the first period but took a commanding 59-39 lead at the half. A 13-2 run at the end of the third period made the lead 92-55 heading into the final stanza.
The Nuggets' blowout loss came just 24 hours after an easy 124-103 win at Washington Friday night.
Brook Lopez had 15 points and nine rebounds and Jarvis Hayes scored 14 points. Ryan Anderson scored 13 points with 12 rebounds, and Vince Carter added 12 points and eight assists in the Nets' season-high fourth straight win.
Denver finished with a huge 54-30 rebounding edge.
Carmelo Anthony was the only Denver player in double figures with 15 points. Chauncey Billups and Nene scored nine points each for the Nuggets, who had won four in a row.
