Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
VINA DEL MAR, Chile, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Chilean Fernando Gonzalez and fourth-seeded Argentine Jose Acasuso will meet Sunday in the final of the Movistar Open at Vina del Mar, Chile.
Defending champion Gonzalez beat Argentine Pablo Cuevas 6-3, 6-2 in their semifinal match Saturday. Gonzalez is looking for his fourth title here, having also won in 2002 and 2004.
Acasuso overcame a first-set loss to beat second-seeded Spaniard Tommy Robredo 5-7, 6-2, 6-4. Acasuso won this event in 2006.
Gonzalez and Acasuso have met nine times before, with Gonzalez winning seven of the matches.
