COL BKB: North Carolina 76, Virginia 61

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Tyler Hansbrough and Wayne Ellington combined for 35 points and 19 rebounds Saturday to power fourth-ranked North Carolina to a 76-61 victory over Virginia.

Hansbrough finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Ellington had 20 points to go with six rebounds and six assists for the Tar Heels (21-2, 7-2 ACC).

Danny Green added 17 points, and Ty Lawson 10 points and nine assists for North Carolina, which will go for its eighth straight win at third-ranked Duke Wednesday.

Jeff Jones scored 19 points for the Cavaliers (7-12, 1-7), who have lost seven consecutive games. Sylven Landesberg added 16 points, five rebounds and five assists for Virginia.
