PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Matt Bouldin equaled his career high with 26 points Thursday, leading No. 18 Gonzaga to a strong second-half showing and a 93-78 victory over Portland.
Portland made a game of it for the first 24 minutes, but the Bulldogs' size began to dominate down the stretch and they went on to win their ninth straight game. Gonzaga moved two games in front in the West Coast Conference race.
Bouldin made 8-of-10 shots from the field and 7-of-8 from the foul line. Jeremy Pargo added 23 for the Bulldogs (17-4, 8-0 WCC) and Josh Heytvelt had 15.
Gonzaga hit 54 percent of its field goal tries.
Portland (15-8, 6-2) was paced by 19 points from both Nik Raivio and T.J. Campbell. Raivio, however, was held scoreless in the second half until the final moments.
