COL BKB: Wisconsin 63, Illinois 50

MADISON, Wis., Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Jason Bohannon scored 20 points Thursday and Wisconsin posted a surprisingly easy 63-50 decision over No. 21 Illinois.

The Badgers took a 12-point halftime lead and Illinois came no closer than 10 in the second period. The Illini shot only 33 percent from the field and fell out of a second-place tie in the Big Ten Conference -- two games behind league leading Michigan State.

Marcus Landry added 16 points for Wisconsin and Jon Leuer had 15. The Badgers (13-9, 4-6 Big Ten) halted a six-game losing streak.

Illinois (18-5, 6-4) was led by Mike Davis with 14.
